Now I'm working back and forth between the hair and the face. The hair is giving me a really hard time, but I'm still enjoying the process. When I compare my version with the original, I see so many things I did wrong, but then where's the surprise in that? The next one I do will be in a larger sketch book. I won't be able to get the whole drawing on the page. What a good excuse (one of many, I might add), to try doing it again when this one's finished!

Looking good still, Nancy.
But - you almost confused me. I went immediately to the bottom of the two and looked at it and said to myself, "what does she mean it won't fit."
Then I realized the top one was yours.
It's wonderful!

I think you are doing a great job!!
Oh, I like yours so much better. I'm sure the portrait was true to the real person, but I like that you made yours thinner, he does look gorgeous that way. Absolutely fantastic that way.
Exquisite!!
wow... this is beautiful!
Very good...yours has an angelic innocence and think it could be the distance from the nostril to the bottom of her eye is longer on yours, plus her gaze on yours is directed upwards and his is directed straight across...love the gentle shading you've used!
You are doing a fantastic job! Keep going.
I just left a comment on your first installment. To this one I can only say - wow. Doing well!
I think you are doing a really great job of this - keep going!
Complimenti! I really like the way you are handling his hair :)
Your curls rival Da Vinci's! Great stuff!
Oh, Nancy! You're doing so good! This is wonderful! I see a few differences, but yours has the the more innocent face!
You should be so proud!
It keeps getting better. Good work.
I love your curls too! Nicely done.
It looks great Nancy! I'm so impressed!
Like I said, something great is going to happen here.
And this one looks a little less serious, the eyes being wider and looking upwards make her looking a bit mischievous ^^ I like it!
Keep shining.. :)
