Noses EDM 65

I spent a good bit of today at the doctor and running errands, then came home and did some much-needed laundry, changing sheets, etc. The time I had for drawing was limited, so I only did 2 noses .... well, 1 nose and 1 nose with bit of a face attached. For me noses are a challenge in part because they don't really have many lines the way eyes do - they seem to mostly be formed by shadows and inference. Proportion and placement are also hard for me, which is why I decided to do one with a face. I'll do more of them, but for now, it's a start!

Nancy,
You put me to shame. These look like you've been drawing noses all your life.
Wow! I'm quite impressed.
xoxo
Oooo... I like his face. He looks like someone you'd like to talk with in a coffee shop
Those are some really great noses!!!
I think your nose and your nose with the face are really good!!
Nancy,
The noses look great. I especially like the one on the bottom - it has such character.
Well who would ever guess noses are hard for you. These are super! Do 100 more and I'll bet they'll be a piece of cake to do. (Mind you, I haven't drawn any like this myself but ...)
These are great noses!
You definitely KNOW noses!
beautifully done Nancy! :) I am wondering what's next... ears and mouths too?
These are great - you put me to shame as I haven't got past eyes yet!
Interesting looking man - well done! They are tricky - I find it helps if you break it down into basic shapes - this tutorial looks helpful:

Well done...the sfumo technique on the top one is very good. This portrait is terrific, Nancy - what a great face! Noses are so critical, and so tough. Good job!
Not only have you done some great noses here, but you've begun a fantastic portrait on the bottom...all the parts are proportionate and seem to be in the correct place! I don't think you'll have any problems at all with portraiture!
Great job... Nice noses, beautiful eyes, ... your full portraits are almost finished !
Excellent! You're right too. they are mostly shadows. The face kind of reminds me of Sam Waterston. Great job, Nanke!
Neat work! The face that goes with the nose ( ^^ ) looks great!
I so wish I could draw eyes and noses like that.I have attempted to draw faces and in the end I end up with non traditional looks.Your eyes are great they each say something differant.Thank you for your visit to my blog.
Your drawing is really beautifully renderded---the nose is longer than the original--if you check it out with a teacher's eye, you'll see this--your infomation about yourself sounds so much like me, I don't feel so lonesome.. I will visit your blog often......Winna
