The Porch

I haven't been doing much - the illness I had in March never completely went away and I've been trying to behave. Behaving has never been my strong suit, but I've been doing my best. Anyhow, I haven't worked on my man at all, but while sitting on the porch recently I decided to try my hand at something "arty". I have to use the word loosely in this case.
So first I did an ink sketch, and then later I used watercolors to fill it in a bit. I'm not very happy with it, but on the other hand, at least I put an implement in my hand and did something with it! So, without further adieu, here is my humble offering.

Beautifully drawn Nancy, it's absolutely a pleasant to look at. Hope you get well soon.
Well it looks nice and fresh and a good start for a new arty road !! Hope you are feeling better !
I'm sorry you are still not well Nancy! Do you best to take care of yourself - and the sketch is sweet!
It's a pretty sketch Nancy...take care, we miss you!
Looks like a lovely place for some tea or lemonade....should I bring the cookies? Fell better.
Maybe you just needed to relax and capture the moment instead of mastering a technique such as the "man". Hope that this piece helped to make you feel better.
It's lovely, the place you drew looks charming! I hope you feel better soon, take care of yourself!
I don't know why you aren't happy with it - I think it's terrific. The colors are muted but effective.
I can relate to taking forever to kick an illness. I think I'm finally over mine, and I hope yours leaves you alone soon!
What a lovely view of your porch. Perhaps that is the best place for your right now - taking it easy with pencils and paper to hand! Hope you are soon well and truly on the mend
beautiful, and just the right amount of watercolor. i feel like i should be on the front porch with a glass of lemonade.
This looks like a lovely place to just sit and be for a while. And it looks pretty "arty" to me ;)
