Non-dom 3 and 4

Today was beastly hot and humid ... finally it rained, which helped.  I was home in the morning, then off with a friend in the afternoon - thankfully everywhere I was had air conditioning (wimp that I am).  After dinner (homemade pizza which we have almost every Friday, being somewhat boring bears), I did 2 very quick sketches with my right hand.  Considering how long I spent on the 2 of them (maybe 6 or 7 minutes), I think they're not too bad.  But here's the thing.  Spending such a short time on them gives me the illusion of having an excuse for their not being being very good - pretty sly!  Except it's not working since I can see right through me.

One of these days soon I'll spend more time on doing just one to see what happens.  Until then, here's what I've got.

Hi Nancy,

I really like what you are able to do with your non-dom hand.

Thank you so much for going with me today; sorry I was such a wet blanket. A little update: I called the doctor's office to see what might be next only to find that neither my doctor nor the nurse practitioner were in. So much for having the US read this afternoon.

I will call on Monday morning and see what is next.

xoxo

I cracked up at the "I can see right through me" comment. Gosh, but that sure sounds like my own particular brand of excuse making and getting over myself right quickly on the heels of the excuse! LOLOL I think that top little portrait (#3) is exquisite! Well done and I'm enjoying your exercises here!

Hi Nancy - thanks for visiting. I am impressed that you can draw so well with your non-dominant hand. It is so true that with practice we can do anything. Keep it up!

I have reasons to believe you're ambidextrous ^^ If I can do anywhere remotely close to that with my left hand... hmmm... I can't imagine really because I simply can't! ^^ You never stop impressing Nancy

I hate humid too Nancy, I do sympathise. You did well to draw these with your non dominate hand, it must be like when you draw looking at your hand in a mirror?

Your people are well done. I remember drawing with the non-dominant hand and realized that I paid great attention to detail because I didn't want to waste even one little stroke.

LOL...I agree with AutumnLeaves, that was a clever statement! I think both of these are terrific because of what they are...quick sketches with the nondom hand!

Oh, and we have homemade pizza every Saturday night! My parents join us and have even turned down invitations on Saturdays for fear they wouldn't make it back in time!

I think it's really useful to do quick sketches. But why with the nondom hand? Is this helpful in some way I don't know about? Btw, homemade pizza weekly is not boring, it's heaven!

That's really good for a drawing done with the non-dominant hand! It is hard to write with that hand, nevermind draw!

Oh and Dan, it's good to practice using the non-dom hand, as it exercises both sides of the brain.:)
